Absolute Technology Limited ("Company", "we", "us") — Registration No. 01011131, licensed by RAK DAO for Embedded Finance Enablement (Licence No. 07011064) Effective date: 10 July 2026 · Website: https://absolutepay.io

1. Crypto payments are generally irreversible

On-chain crypto transactions are generally irreversible. Once confirmed on the relevant blockchain, a payment cannot be cancelled, recalled, or reversed by the Company, by our upstream payments and settlement provider, or by anyone else.

There is no card-style chargeback. Unlike card networks, there is no scheme through which an End Customer can force a reversal or dispute a crypto payment back out of your balance. This is a fundamental property of the underlying networks, not a limitation we impose.

2. How a refund works on the Platform

A refund of a crypto payment is not a reversal of the original transaction. It is a new, separate outbound transaction that you (the Merchant) choose to send back to your End Customer. This means a refund:

  • is at your discretion, subject to your own published refund policy and applicable law;
  • depends on your available balance and on the current status of the payout / outbound rail; and
  • is a fresh on-chain transaction that carries its own network fees and its own price at the time it is sent.

Payout-rail status today. Merchant settlement payouts are currently accrual-only in production — the outbound payout rail is switched off pending a controlled go-live. While that is the case, the Company primarily records obligations rather than moving funds, and the ability to send outbound refunds may be limited or unavailable.

3. Who bears price differences and network fees

Because a refund is a new transaction sent at a later time:

  • Price difference. The market value of the refunded asset may differ from its value when the original payment was made. Unless you and your End Customer agree otherwise, the Merchant decides how any price difference is handled (for example, refunding the original crypto amount, or a value equivalent). The Company does not set, guarantee, or absorb this difference.
  • Network fees. The network ("gas") fee for sending the refund, and any Platform or provider fees that apply to an outbound transaction, are borne as set out in your Merchant agreement and your own refund policy. Original inbound fees are generally not recoverable.

4. The Company facilitates but does not guarantee refunds

The Company provides the tools to initiate a refund through the Platform, but we do not guarantee that any refund can or will be made. Whether a refund is issued, in what amount, and on what timeline is determined by you (the Merchant), subject to your balance, the payout-rail status, network conditions, and applicable law. We are not a party to your commercial arrangement with your End Customer.

5. Disputes are between the Merchant and the End Customer

Any dispute about a purchase, a refund, product quality, delivery, or a customer's entitlement to money back is between the Merchant and its End Customer. The Company is a technology and settlement layer; we do not adjudicate these disputes, and we do not act as an arbiter, escrow agent, or guarantor between you and your customers.

If we receive a complaint from an End Customer, we may route it to you to handle under your own policy. See the Complaints section of the Terms.

6. The Company's limited role

  • We operate the software that lets you receive crypto pay-ins and, where enabled, initiate outbound transactions.
  • We are not the custodian of funds; crypto settles into a sub-account held by our upstream payments and settlement provider for your workspace, and the Platform never holds a private key or wallet on your behalf.
  • We do not decide, fund, or guarantee your refunds.
  • We may set reasonable operational limits (for example, while the payout rail is controlled) and may act to comply with law, our financial-crime controls, and our provider's requirements.

7. Your obligation to publish your own refund policy

You must maintain and publish your own refund policy to your End Customers, and make it available before purchase (for example, at checkout and in your terms). Your policy must:

  • clearly state whether, when, and how customers can obtain a refund;
  • explain that crypto payments are generally irreversible and that refunds are issued as new outbound transactions; and
  • comply with all consumer-protection and other laws that apply to your business and your customers.

The Company's facilitation of refunds does not replace your own policy or your legal obligations to your customers.

8. General

This policy should be read together with our Terms of Service (including its Crypto Risk Disclosure section) and our pricing disclosure. Nothing here is financial, tax, or legal advice. UAE Federal law (together with the applicable RAK DAO / RAK ICC free-zone regulations) governs this policy, with the competent UAE / Ras Al Khaimah courts (or arbitration if the parties so elect) having jurisdiction.
